ground floor
The house is divided by two main axes based on the main geographical directions, clearly distinguishable on the floor plan as the two main corridors.
The kitchen is situated on the eastern side of the house (morning sun), the south side contains the dining area (noon and afternoon light), whereas the west side is occupied by the living room (evening sunlight & sunset). On the North are located: the office, the staircase, the entrance, the guest toilet, and the pantry adjacent to the kitchen – all areas requiring little daylight.
The plan makes best use of sun and natural illumination through large windows on the main sides, while keeping heat losses on the northern side minimal thanks to smaller openings. The corridors open up to the various rooms on the ground floor, to create a feeling of space and length, while clearly defnining the different purposes of each room.

upper floor
The upper floor hosts the three bedrooms: a larger / "master" bedroom on the eastern side (wake up naturally to the morning sunlight) and two smaller bedrooms (which make good use of afternoon sunlight). On the northern side of the house, two bathrooms and one toilet complete the nighttime part of the house.
The long corridors here serve not only to reach the different spaces, but are in reality rooms themselves: their length is spanned by built-in wardrobes as well as a laundry corner. Windows at their ends make the experience of walking through the house its own particular feel.
